Wouldn’t folks who are really environmentally minded NOT have electric Christmas lights and decorations?

A person who lives near me is always talking about helping the environment, yet they have a MASSIVE light show on their property for Christmas, with other, moving (electrically powered) Christmas figurines.

Is this type of energy waste good for the environment?

Isn’t this a bit hypocritical?
